Pre-Purchase Inspections

Before you buy a used car, protect yourself with a pre-purchase inspection. This simple procedure conducted by our ASE Certified Master Collision Damage and Mechanical Repair Technician can save you headaches and money. It can help you avoid costly repairs and paying too much for a used car.

At Superstition Motors Ltd, we look for:

  • Signs of previous collision damage
  • The quality of earlier repairs
  • Mechanical defects or excessive wear
  • Hidden engine problems
  • Flood damage
  • Missing or inoperative safety equipment (such as air bags)
  • Deferred maintenance items

We will provide you with a written vehicle inspection report on the vehicle’s condition. We will give you an estimate on the likely cost of bringing the vehicle to top running condition.

It is not unusual for a used “for sale” vehicle to need mechanical repairs. Private parties often decide to sell after their mechanic has identified a costly major repair on the horizon. We will help you find these issues (if any) so you can avoid the vehicle, or negotiate a price which takes into account the cost of anticipated future repair(s).

Unless you are a mechanic, or have purchased many used cars in the past, you are at a disadvantage when purchasing a used car. Let us help.
